What fascia & soffit repair actually looks like
Fascia is the board your gutter is fastened to, and soffit is the panel that closes in the underside of the eave. When a gutter overflows season after season, that board is the first thing to go soft — and once it does, hangers have nothing to bite into and the whole run starts pulling away.
We repair and replace rotted fascia board, wrap fascia in aluminum so it stops rotting in the first place, and repair or replace soffit panels, including full fascia and soffit replacement around an entire home. On most jobs it's done at the same time as new seamless gutters, so the new system goes on solid wood instead of over the problem.
We'll tell you honestly how far the rot goes. Sometimes it's eight feet of board behind one bad downspout; sometimes it's the whole back side of the house. Either way you get the real scope before we start.

Peeling paint or dark streaks on the eave
Paint lifting off fascia is moisture escaping from behind it — the board is already wet.
Soft or crumbling wood at the corners
Corners and downspout locations rot first because that's where water sits longest.
Birds, wasps, or squirrels getting into the eave
A gap or hole in the soffit is an open door. Closing it up properly is the only fix that lasts.
Sagging or stained soffit panels
A drooping soffit means water has been getting above it, usually from an overflowing gutter or a bad roof edge.

We check the fascia along every run — by feel, not just by eye — and find where the sound wood starts and stops.

You get the footage, the material, and the price in writing before anything comes off the house. No discovering more work on the invoice.

Remove and replace
Gutter comes down, damaged board and soffit come out, new material goes in, and the eave gets closed back up properly.

Wrap and rehang
Fascia is wrapped in aluminum where you want it, then the gutter is rehung — or new seamless gutter installed — on solid wood.

Clean up
All old material and fasteners are hauled off. We leave the property the way we found it.
FAQ
Common questions about fascia & soffit repair
Do I need to replace my fascia, or can it be repaired?

It depends on how far the rot has gone. A short soft section can often be cut out and replaced without touching the rest of the run. When a whole side is spongy, replacing the full run is the better value — we'll tell you which one you're looking at.
What is aluminum fascia wrap?

It's a formed aluminum cover fitted over the wood fascia so weather never touches the board again. It ends the repainting cycle and stops rot before it starts. We often wrap fascia at the same time we install new seamless gutters.
Do you repair soffit too?

Yes — soffit repair and replacement, including vented soffit, and full fascia and soffit replacement on whole-home projects. Closing up soffit gaps is also what keeps birds and wasps out of the eave.
Can you do fascia work and new gutters at the same time?

That's the best way to do it. The gutter has to come down anyway, so replacing the board and hanging new seamless gutter in one visit costs less than doing them separately — and the new system goes on solid wood.
Do you do roofing?

No. We stay in gutters, fascia, and soffit. If we find damage that runs into the roof deck or framing, we'll tell you straight and recommend a roofer rather than working outside what we do well.
