Should I have gutter guards at all?

Depends on the home. On heavily wooded lots, no guard we've seen keeps up with a mature oak canopy — regular cleaning wins. On homes with light debris, a good-quality micromesh guard can extend the interval between cleanings. We'll give you a straight opinion based on your specific setup.
Will removing the guards damage my roof or gutters?

Not when it's done right. Screws come out, clips release, and slide-under guards lift free. If a system was installed with roofing nails through the shingles, we stop and warn you before doing anything that could void a roof warranty.
Do you install new gutter guards after removal?

No. Installation is a different trade with different warranties and materials. If you want new guards, we'll clean the gutters and refer you to a reputable local installer.
Can you clean gutters without removing the guards?

Sometimes. Some guards can be lifted, cleaned under, and reset. But once a guard is warped, saturated, or badly clogged, cleaning around it doesn't actually clean the gutter. We'll tell you which situation yours is.
